Coach Mike, Head Coach of the PeeWee Falcons gave us his thoughts on the 2016 season…

Although our team record of wins and losses was not as strong as last year, we played some of the most exciting football games I have been involved in!

It was very rewarding as a coach to see the players commitment and perseverance demonstrated by their never say die attitude, regardless of the score or time remaining in the game.  Our coaching staff commented several times through the year that the abilities of all our athletes was very consistent.  This allowed us to rotate players into any position with confidence, and support our philosophy that everybody plays in every game.  The Most Improved Player Award this year was our most difficult award to decide because so many of our athletes were worthy.

As a head coach, I was most proud of the sportsmanship and respect demonstrated by our players, and in particular our veterans who are graduating to Bantam next year.  It was also very satisfying to see players I had coached previously in Peewee win a City Championship with our Bantam team in 2016.  The addition of graduating players from Atom combined with new recruits and our returning Peewee veterans should set us up well to compete for a Peewee City Championship next year.

Thanks Coach Mike and congratulations to all members of the 2016 PeeWee Falcons on a great season.

Go Falcons!
